* I provide counseling, EMDR, and Somatic Experiencing process work to adults, and children.
*I received my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in 1993. I have an MSW from Florida State University, and a BSW from the University of South Florida.
* My continued education has been in a variety of approaches to healing; with emphasis in trauma, loss, grief, accidents, abuse during childhood and adulthood, resiliency, intuition, spirituality, life transitions.
* Somatic Experiencing pre training with Peter Levine International EMDR conference. Completion of beginning Somatic Experiencing 2012, Intermediate 2014; Advanced level 2018. Somatic Experiencing Practitioner 2020 (SEP)
* I completed Level I EMDR 1996; Level II 1997 with further training to include with child and trauma specialists Robert Tinker, Ricky Greenwald, Robbie Adler-Tapia.
*Experiential Light Body School trainings with Alberto Villoldo, and Lisa Summerlot. Dousing and Energy Work experiential trainings with Raymon Grace.
* Interest and trainings in Functional Medicine; and training in nutritional health/mental health.
* Authentic Voice training with Stephanie Heidemann which incorporates movement/yoga, finding and strengthening your connection to your authentic self/voice.
* Progressive and Intensive workshops with Joe Dispenza (You are the Placebo) in 2015, 2016, 2018 meditation and healing. Advanced workshops 2020.
Career Experiences:
*Private practice presently working in person and tele therapy.
*I was fortunate to work with children age 5 to 19 in a large school system for 18 years as part of my practice providing play, individual, and group therapy, as well as; consultation in an integrated team system.
*I was honored to co-cordinate the Survivors' of Interpersonal Violence Art Show at the University of Florida for 13 years, with the Sexual Battery Committee of the Gainesville Commission on the Status of Women. I served as a committee member of the conference planning team, and a board member of the Commission.
* I have provided and provide experiential groups and workshops for the community, adolescents, and adults in creative arts; trauma, and reconnecting with self and intuition.
*I was presented with the Twentieth annual Martha V. Varnes Award for "achievement In Sexual Exploitation Prevention;" by the Sexual Battery Committee of the Gainesville Commission on the Status of Women, Inc. (2004.)
Since 1993, and presently today; I have provided and provide individual, and group therapy to adults and children in a private setting which has grown to be the Hart Within practice in Gainesville Florida. The Hart Within is located at a home originally built in 1948, and presently is an office that is set up to be a comfortable and safe place for healing, and transformative work for adults, and children.
